Definition Of Cash Crop

A cash crop is an agricultural crop which is nurtured with the purpose of selling it and drawing profit out of it rather than for livestock feed. A farmer primarily cultivates a cash crop for sale rather keeping it for his own use. Animal agriculture does not fall within the scope of the term, but only plants’ production.
